“Better-than-ever” conference programme finalised21 Jun 2018
The speaker line-up for IOSH 2018 has been finalised – and this year’s conference promises to be “better than ever”.
Focusing on the theme ‘Shape a New World of Work’, high-profile speakers from a range of sectors will deliver key insights and debate the hot topics currently affecting the safety and health profession.
Among the speakers will be Dame Judith Hackitt, who recently completed a review into building regulations and fire safety that was commissioned by the UK Government following the Grenfell Tower fire.
Dame Judith, the former UK Health and Safety Executive Chair and now Chair of manufacturers organisation EEF, will summarise her review findings and explore what it means going forward.
Other highlights include: Mark Gallagher, founder and CEO of Performance Insights Ltd and Formula One co-commentator; Dominic Wigley, Group Health, Safety and Security Director for Merlin Entertainments Group; Salman Khan, EHS Head - Siemens, Midddle East, North Africa and Pakistan; and Ian Hynes, CEO of Intersol Global.
Meanwhile conference chair, Cathy Newman, will chair a Question Time-style debate, allowing delegates to pitch questions to a panel of safety and health experts.
The conference, being held at the ICC in Birmingham, UK, from 17-18 September, offers something for everyone.
Whether you are just starting your safety and health career, a seasoned safety and health professional, or in another line of work but have a keen interest in the benefits of safety and health for your business, IOSH 2018 is the place to be.
Key themes are:
