A great conference starts with great sessions, so get involved - TRACK SESSION PROPOSALS NOW CLOSED

Getting involved in IOSH 2017 by delivering a presentation will help you promote your successes, share good practice and raise the profile of your work. You’ll also be able to collect valuable evidence for your CPD portfolio.

The title of IOSH 2017 is ‘Transforming health and safety across the world’. We’ll be focusing on the following themes:

  • Globalisation and OSH in different contexts
  • The changing world of work, including the impact of technology on OSH professionals
  • Developing personal resilience and skills
  • Multi-disciplinary working and integrating OSH across the workplace
  • Building the profession, ensuring that it’s fit for the future.

We invite proposals to lead track sessions at IOSH 2017 from professionals at different career stages, working in different sectors and in organisations of all sizes. We especially encourage sessions on the following topics:

  • Multi-disciplinary working in a complex world: engaging with others
  • Proactive solutions to OSH challenges
  • Developing the next OSH generation

  • Assessing the impact of regulatory change
  • Managing occupational health in the workplace
  • Stakeholder engagement and governance
Insight: influence, innovation, integration

  • Influencing culture and workers’ expectations
  • Innovative approaches to changing the world of work
  • Emerging hazards for the 21st-century worker

Things to think about

If you, your organisation or group are interested in leading a track session, please make sure your proposal:

  • has a well-defined focus
  • offers concrete examples 
  • covers a relevant and timely subject
  • demonstrates a practical application 
  • has a global appeal
  • will be led by skilled presenters
  • has a compelling description.

All lead track presenters will get a free single-day pass for the day of their session.

Ideas for plenary sessions

Alongside our track sessions a number of keynote/plenary presentations will take place in the main conference auditorium. If you have an idea for a great speaker or topic for this year’s conference, please email Sue Bull, our Conference Producer.
