Head of Advice and Practice, IOSH
After a short service commission in the Royal Corps of Signals, Duncan spent time as a Director of an Outdoor Adventure Centre and a College Lecturer before forging his career in safety. He spent 8 years as a safety and risk consultant working with national and international organisations. His work has covered many sectors, retail, logistics and warehousing, agriculture, food manufacturing, engineering, government agencies and uniformed public services. He led the safety team in the John Lewis Partnership for 10 years before becoming the Head of Advice & Practice at IOSH. This department is responsible for thought leadership and includes commissioning research and writing guidance for members.
