Joy is the research associate for the Campbell Institute, the EHS center of the excellence at the National Safety Council. Responsible for researching Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) best practices, Joy has led several research efforts at the Institute, including studies on leading indicators, risk perception and contractor safety management.  Joy serves as an adjunct faculty member in sociology at the College of DuPage, has worked as a pastry chef and plays the French horn. A graduate of Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles with a BA in sociology, Joy also holds an MA in sociology from the University of Arizona.
