Mariana Ruiz Alvarado
Mariana is a Senior Social Development Specialist at the European Investment Bank, where she has worked for more than 10 years. Before joining the Bank, she was Technical Economic Advisor on infrastructures to the President of Spain. Prior to that, she had been Executive Economic Advisor to two Ministers of Housing. She started her career consulting on regulatory and competition of energy markets. An economist by training, Mariana holds a Master in International Economics from the Université Paris Dauphine, a Master of Finance from the Centre of Monetary and Financial Studies from the Bank of Spain and has carried out postgraduate studies at Harvard Kennedy School and the Stockholm School of Economics.
